Our recommendation

Buy the Inspire FTX if your room is the constraint, because its narrower frame keeps dual stacks and smooth pulleys in a spare room or garage corner. Buy the XMark XM-7626 if your room is wide and flies are the priority, because its crossover width and 200 lb stacks are the gym-like answer. Both run a 1:2 ratio, so the choice is width and stack depth against footprint and accessories, not a different training system.

Width and the fly arc

The XMark frame at about 65 by 44 inches starts wide enough for a true crossover arc, which is its whole case. The Inspire frame at 54 by 40 inches is narrower, and broad shouldered lifters will feel the fly arc narrow with it. If flies are programmed weekly, width decides. If the trainer serves everything else first, the Inspire width is a fair trade.

Stacks and the handle ceiling

XMark stacks are 200 lb per side against Inspire at 165 lb per side, and at the shared 1:2 ratio that becomes about 100 lb per handle for XMark against about 82 lb for Inspire. The gap matters for pressing accessories and heavier cable work; it rarely matters for isolation work at controlled tempos, where both stacks are ample.

Accessories and the finished package

Inspire answers with the most complete box in this comparison: dual handles, tricep rope, chin bar and curl bar attachments that most brands sell separately. XMark answers with an integrated multi grip pull-up bar and a wider frame. One trainer arrives complete for accessory work, the other arrives wide for crossover work, and the buyer should pick the completeness they will actually use.

Choose Inspire Fitness FTX Functional Trainer if…

  • Your room is narrow or shared
  • You want the full accessory kit in the box
  • General whole-body training comes before fly specialization

Choose XMark XM-7626 Functional Trainer Cable Crossover if…

  • Flies and crossovers are programmed weekly
  • You want the deeper 200 lb stacks
  • Your room holds a wide frame with build space to spare

FAQ

Cable Machines and Functional Trainers questions, answered straight

Which trainer is better for a small garage?

The Inspire FTX. Its 54 by 40 inch frame fits rooms where the XMark width simply does not, and its dual stacks still cover whole-body training.

Does the XMark stack advantage matter for beginners?

Not at first. Beginners rarely reach either trainer's handle ceiling. The advantage shows up later, in pressing accessories and heavier cable work, which is when the wider frame also starts to pay.

Which needs fewer extra purchases?

The Inspire FTX, because handles, rope and bars are included. XMark buyers should budget separately for any attachments beyond the integrated pull-up bar.
